Aspen Ladd's experience in combat sport began when she was just 14 years old. Aspen Ladd had training in kickboxing, BJJ and boxing and wrestling before making her professional debut at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd built on this victory and continued her three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her adversaries in the very first round of each fight. Then she returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was already beaten by Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking her revenge on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen in a unanimous vote. The loss put a mark on the amateur record of Ladd. Ladd recovered from the loss through defeat of Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to get her first professional fight. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the first round with a TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her fight via the third round TKO(elbows or punches). In the following fight, she took on Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18. She weighed catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her after the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion with a unanimous decision. Her UFC debut took place during UFC Fight Night 118 at which point she was up against Lina Lansberg. Aspen Ladd defeated Lina through a pound and pound victory in 2nd round. Then, in her third fight she was able to defeat Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd won over Evinger in the first round as well as a win of the night's prize. She fought her first big fight in her debut fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Avs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters earning an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her record of wins. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute during her final fight against the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
